Good Evening to our Thursday customers,
Remember to pick up your box and/or other orders tomorrow (Thursday).
We had to update our list of what is coming in the boxes this week.
We have included a small orange spaghetti squash and Kohlrabi this week. The spaghetti squash can be cooked in a variety of ways but is very similar to the more common type of spaghetti squash that is tan in color. It can be baked and removed into the classic "spaghetti" or it can be peeled and baked in chunks. Kirsten has wrapped chunks in bacon and baked it that way for a really good treat.
Kohlrabi is a green or purple vegetable with a crisp, tasty, white flesh. The outer skin is peeled and then it can be eaten in sticks raw like a carrot or used in stir fries or even put into soups and stews. If eaten raw as a veggie stick, I prefer to eat it with a dip.
Please bring your own bags to put your produce in when you come to pick up. Leaving the boxes at the pick up spot helps us to keep them clean and keep our costs down.
